A crystal lighting study / An illustrative design direction

The beauty is in the interplay.

01

Crystal & reflection

Clear drops, layered shapes and the spaces between them create a different impression from every angle. Consider how much sparkle you want, in daylight as well as when the chandelier is lit.

02

Frame & finish

The structure matters as much as the crystal. A delicate branching shape or a fuller arrangement can change the mood; the metal tone should sit comfortably with the room’s other details.

03

Glow & atmosphere

A chandelier gives the room a focal point. We also consider the surrounding light, so the setting feels comfortable for conversation, dining or welcoming guests.

Presence, in proportion.

A beautiful fixture needs the right setting. Room dimensions, ceiling height, furniture position and the available suspension space all shape the selection.

A placement study / Proportions vary by room and fixture
Above a dining table

Consider the table’s width and length, the view across it and the position of the ceiling point. A longer arrangement can follow the table; a compact composition can create a more centred focus.

In a reception room

Look at the seating arrangement and the room as a whole. The chandelier should relate to the gathering area, while its drop and width leave the space feeling open.

At an entrance

Think about the first view through the doorway, ceiling height and the routes people use. The fixture’s shape and suspension should make sense from the entrance and from the rooms beyond.

Bring the room into the conversation.

Share a room photograph, approximate dimensions and ceiling height, plus any chandelier references you like. If there is a table or seating group beneath it, include those dimensions too.

What should we confirm before choosing?

Alongside the appearance and size, confirm the selected fixture’s weight, mounting requirements, lamp specifications and any control compatibility. We will discuss the fitting scope and any site checks needed before the quotation is finalised.
